Why Choose Inclusive Wisdom?

Do you feel like you are not where you are supposed to be in life?

We can be our own greatest critics, and in the modern world with social media, it is easy to compare our messy lives to people's highlight reels. In my practice, I emphasize and promote self-compassion. Working alongside you, we will challenge the high standards that undercut what you have achieved by seeing you through a lens that acknowledges the circumstances and challenges you endure.

Does anxiety hold you back?

I teach my clients usable and identifiable skills to help them prevent emotions such as anxiety, anger, and distress from taking over their lives. Often, we already use these skills without knowing their function, which creates an opportunity to identify what works for you and build from there.

Do you find yourself thinking, "What's the point?"

When we listen to these thoughts, it is easy to become stuck in a place where depression sets in. I help my clients take steps, no matter how small, that will bring them closer to wellness and recovery.

Do you have difficulty organizing or completing tasks?

As a neurodivergent person, I understand what it is like to live with this constant struggle. I will help you approach these challenges with strengths-based and solutions-focused interventions. We will identify what works for you so we can build upon these strategies to help you better manage executive dysfunction.

Is your trauma a prolonged series of events rather than one defining moment?

Complex trauma is a prevalent issue that reverberates through many aspects of life. Using Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), I have helped people identify their wounded parts and the systems built to protect them. Together, we will approach these parts with compassion and curiosity so that you can feel a weight lifted off your shoulders.

About Me

Ian Webb, LMHCA

I believe in the importance of listening to people's unique lived experiences, which allows me to tailor my approach to an individual's needs. My Master's-level education at Seattle University taught me the importance of multicultural and social justice issues in the counseling space. With that, I know how to take time to ask questions and learn about your identities and, most importantly, how you experience them. I value the human-to-human connection we have the opportunity to foster so that you will not feel like you are speaking to a stiff professional or that ChatGPT could provide the same value.

Frequently Asked Questions

"How can you understand my life?"

I believe that you are the expert of your own life. Even if you have shared identities with me, we have walked different paths, and I want to understand yours. Following your lead, I will learn how you experience the world and how the world receives you.

"Can I get the same results from just medication?"

Medication is often a major part of making progress toward wellness. However, evidence supports that medication in conjunction with mental health counseling is much more effective than medication alone. With that in mind, I will be up-front with you about what medication can and cannot do. Together, we can explore how medication intersects with your values and discuss concerns of how society views it.

"Can I just make all the feelings I don't want go away?"

When we listen to these thoughts, it is easy to become stuck in a place where depression sets in. I help my clients take steps, no matter how small, that will bring them closer to wellness and recovery.

"Do you take insurance?"

I currently accept both out-of-pocket clients and insurance through Premera and Lifewise.
